Theatres, Museums and Historic Preservation

Bethel Performing Arts Center

The site of the original Woodstock Concert in 1969 was developed with an ampitheater and museum and Frank J. Ryan & Sons was selected to do the painting.  The first challenge came up when the steel in the ampitheter was delivered factory painted but badly damaged.  We built large ramps to allow access for the equipment required to access the steel to repair the damages.  We surpassed the accelerated schedule required to perform the work in time to install the seats and the venue opened on schedule.

NYS Education Building

NYS Education BuildingWe were selected for this restoration after completing several projects in the NYS Capitol across the street.  Not only was there extensive stripping and refinishing of the historic shelves, card catalogs, doors and trim; we also used many faux techniques to restore this jewel in downtown Albany.

Rensselaer County Courthouse

This was a true “old-school” paint job and restoration.  Extensive lead-based paints had to be removed, thousands of square feet of wood trim, doors and wainscot were stripped and refinished, and many faux painting methods were used to restore this old courthouse to its former glory.
