Cohoes High School Gymnasium Addition
When designing the new Gymnasium addition at Cohoes High School, the Architect wanted to leave the steel exposed but needed to meet the fire codes so they specified an intumescent fireproofing for coating the exposed steel.
This product has to be applied as thick as 30 mils in some areas but still must appear smooth for atheistic purposes. We have been selected to do the project based on prior successful projects of this type. Currently preparing the steel for proper application of the coating the full installation should be done by early 2011.
