We analyze every project to foresee any potential issues well in advance and bring them up before they become a problem.

We can also provide bonding through our surety – Colonial Surety – with limits of $1.5 million for a single project and $7 million for aggregate.

Our People: More Than Just Painters

Our employees are our business.  We have an excellent staff of supervisors and painters who take pride in the quality product they deliver.  All of our employees are continually trained in the proper application of products and new equipment.  We have a NACE inspector on staff, and many of our employees are factory trained and certified for various fireproofing, texturing, multicolor and high-performance systems.

History of Frank J. Ryan Painting

In 1940, Frank Ryan started the American Paint and Insulation Company on River Street in Downtown Troy, NY. As his sons became involved in the business, the insulation business was replaced with paint contracting, and in 1952, Frank J. Ryan and Sons Inc. was formed. Now in its fourth generation as a family business, we strive to maintain the same high-quality standards and exemplary customer service of which Frank Ryan himself was so proud.
